Michael P. Pope, MS, LAc has maintained a clinical practice for fifteen years.  He is a graduate of Bastyr University,  earning a masters of science in acupuncture and Chinese medicine with an advanced certification in Chinese herbal medicine.  He concurrently studied Naturopathic medicine while at Bastyr to broaden his education in western natural medicine techniques, nutrition, and conventional medical diagnosis. One of his many strengths is his ability to integrate his western medical understanding into the Chinese medicine care and treatment of his patients.

After graduation from Bastyr, Michael traveled to China to extend his clinical training.  Studying at both Shanghai and Chengdu Universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine  he earned advanced certification in gynecology, internal medicine, herbal formulations and acupuncture techniques.  He is certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture and is licenced to practice in the state of Oregon.

Michael has a deep commitment to natural medicine. Today's patients need a balanced approach to healthcare that includes the time tested wisdom of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and modern nutrition. Michael works to help create that balance so that optimal health becomes a way of life.
